Terra Firma Farm is entering our 5th year of After School Programs here on the Farm! Throughout the year, the farm-based after school program serves local area students each Monday through Friday. The Terra Firma Farm After School program follows the Stonington Public School Calendar for holidays, half days, vacations and cancellations.
    The After School program offers children in grades K- 8 the opportunity for fun, learning and exploration. Students arrive on the farm and are welcomed with a fresh after school snack. The children then do farm animal chores such as feeding the pigs, goats, cows, donkeys and the hens. A highlight of each day is gathering eggs from the laying hens. After chores are completed, children may participate in a range of other agriculture-based activities, including gardening, cooking, canning and preserving food, cheese- or butter-making, fiber arts, nature crafts, and much more. Other crafts and activities are scheduled to coincide with holidays and seasonal changes on the farm.

New this year! The 2008-2009 After School program starts the week of September 15th. This year the after school program will be offered Monday- Friday for the entire school year. Enrollment is available per session or for the entire school year. Students are dropped at the farm after school on the school bus and must be picked up by 5:30 PM.
Fall: September 15th - December break
Winter: January 5th - April break
Spring: April 20th- School closing
Fee: $120 per day per session
